You have reached the home of The SABR Spring Training Research Committee. The committee was formed in 2002 to study the history and impact of professional baseball in the cities which have played host to spring training camps. Our primary area of research is a comprehensive historical and geographical listing of spring training venues for major league, minor league and Negro league ballclubs.
The committee meets virtually (usually twice per calendar year), with one of those meetings held in March. For news, updates, and general information, please click on one of the menu options above.
This committee is associated with the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR).
Announcement: Spring Training Anthology
